Wobbel Balance Board - Original Lacquered

We purchased this to support our 7 year olds motor development. She loves it and truly is learning through play. The older children (10 and 13) also love having a wobble. Also want to mention that on the Wobbel web site there are free activity cards that can be printed out. Miss 7 year old loves trying out the poses on the cards as well as inventing her own.

Thought I’d pop in and leave a review because I know how much people struggle with the “felt or no felt” option! I had no idea what to do, but knowing the wobbel in our household would be predominantly used in areas with carpet we chose no felt. This “toy” is absolutely adored by everyone in the house, the adults, the 5 year old and the 9 month old! There’s not a single day that goes by where the wobbel isn’t played with, it’s used as a slide, a pull up device, a ramp for cars.. everything! It’s been used on the floorboards before and no damage has been done, but on a whole we keep it in the carpeted rooms. If you’re on the fence about buying one just go for it. You will not regret this purchase!

The wobbel was initially purchased as a sensory therapy item for my eldest child. In a few short days my delayed youngest child is using it to climb, the eldest child is using it and it’s helping with sensory regulation, the middle child thinks it’s a troll bridge, I use it as a chair when reading. My husband has used it as a catapult in an elaborate game. Amazing 10/10!

The kids haven’t been off it since it arrived. It was so sweet to watch them try different things with it. The baby sitter raves about it and I found myself rocking on it today whilst on a work call.

I have been riding high end skateboards for 30+ years and recognise great wood work and craftsmanship on the Wobbel Original. The laquered underside can be slid on carpet for an additional sensory and balance challenge; try modifying your feet width from centre in even and uneven stances; try the same but facing your feet perpendicular like the kick push skateboard position; try bending your knees extra low. Feel your core working!
Warning: you'll need to teach your kids to keep their hands away from underneath the board, either gripping the curved edge of the board or planting hands on the ground but under the boards rocking zone. Holding the outer top flat edges is fine as those rarely reach the ground, it's the side edges close to the ground that are a finger crunch risk. My kids ran over their fingers once on carpet and learned not to do that again. Don't let this deter purchase, it's totally worth it and will last 2x lifetimes. Plus the sense of balance that it trains is transferable to so many other physical activities. We are all very happy with this Buy Well Buy Once purchase.

Wonderful workmanship, a thing of simplicity and beauty. My 3 year old loves it. (We all love it and it is THE FIRST thing kids go to when they come for playdates. I was unsure because of the price, but it is a really nice investment.

I bought my 13 year old autistic son a Wobbel Board for Christmas, 2020, and He instantly started doing skateboarding tricks and spins on it. He found it so much fun that he was laughing hysterically for a good 10 minutes. I even had a try and enjoyed it so much I decided to buy a cheap copy from Kmart (Australia). The Wobbel Board quality European beech wood, workmanship, strength, and smoothness of the wood far exceeds the quality of the cheap imitation and it can also handle double the weight! My son now wants the Wobbel Deck (mini mattress) and pillow so he can spend quiet time rocking himself on the board while playing on his devices or reading. It's not just a toy but a great exercise tool to strengthen and tone muscles and develop balance for children and adults of all ages. Best purchase ever!

I didn't expect the board to be so sturdy (yep I had a go on it as did my husband and parents! hahaha), my daughter (2.5) plays with it daily since we got it. She actually prefers to have it as a bridge so she can slide in different ways and jump from it.
I'm really glad we've purchased it as we use it so much throughout the day for different plays.
